Dr Glas

DR GLAS is a psychological thriller told with style and wit by the American playwright Jeffrey Hatcher. Adapted from the classic novel of 1905 the play tells the story of Dr Glas, a man of unique qualities, an aesthete and solitary figure who lives somewhat cut off from the social whirl of late twentieth century Stockholm. The loss of the one possible love of his life has left him in a reclusive and austere existence… until the beautiful unhappily married Helga Gregorius, who along with her despicable husband, Pastor Gregorius are patients of his, captures his heart and soul and drives the ‘good’ doctor to actions he never thought possible.
