Mustafa Kemal, who is still serving in the 7th Army, resigns and comes to Istanbul after sending a telegram of objection to the order not to resist the approaching British army. Meeting with the officers he knew and trusted at the house where his mother Zübeyde Hanım lived, Mustafa Kemal set off from Istanbul to Samsun to start the resistance. The Road to Independence, which tells the story of Mustafa Kemal and the total struggle of the Anatolian people during the period of the national struggle, tells the process from Mustafa Kemal's leaving Istanbul to the liberation of Izmir in a fluent language and using the drama language of theatre and drags the audience to the period of the national struggle for 60 minutes. The work, written and directed by Ünal Çeken, has so far met with over 200,000 audiences during its Anatolian tours.
