The Happiest Person in the World

“I am the happiest person in the world.” A single sentence written in the past sparks a confrontation with one's own happiness. Despite every effort, a man realizes that his unhappiness may not be entirely his own, but a consequence of the world around him. What if declaring yourself happy becomes an act of resistance? Written and directed by Orçun Ertaman, The Happiest Person in the World uses humor to explore existence, labor, and the social structures that shape our pursuit of happiness.
