In 17th century France, Monsieur Jourdain, an ignorant, naive but very rich man, has only one goal: To become a nobleman. In order to realise this goal, he risks everything, he makes every effort, meaningful and meaningless, useful and useless, but absolutely costly. He is ridiculed and mocked, but he never gives up. His goal is clear: To enter the noble class, to do everything he can to seduce a noble Marquise and to get his only daughter married to a nobleman. However, his daughter is in love with another young man. Moilere weaves around this extraordinary characterisation like a lace with the Count who tries to exploit him, his down-to-earth wife, the servant and butler who are the representatives of common sense and sincerity. Almost every word is funny and every situation is ridiculous.
